Elsevier congratulates the 2023 Kazakhstan Scopus Award winners

Winners acknowledged for their contributions to research and discovery in Kazakhstan
Elsevier opens in new tab/window, a global leader in scientific information and data analytics, honored Kazakh researchers at the 2023 Kazakhstan Scopus Awards. Kazakh researchers consistently demonstrate excellence in their research endeavors, which significantly influences society and enriches the global knowledge repository. The exceptional efforts of these researchers propel advancements in science and technology, while also addressing critical societal challenges.
The award ceremony took place in Rixos President Astana Hotel. The event was hosted by Rabiga Khozhamhul, Customer Excellence Expert, and the theme was “Forging a better Kazakhstan through Science and Technology.”
The keynote addresses were delivered by Tayfun Basal, Regional Director for Turkey, Iran, Middle East & Central Asia, Elsevier; Marat Fatkhullin, Vice-President, Global Strategic Networks, Elsevier; Arman Kashkinbekov, Chairman of the Board, National Center of Science and Technology Evaluation; and Sholpan Yesimova Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Internationalization, Dulaty University.
The event continued with a roundtable discussion on the topic “Advancements and Progress in Field-Based Innovation and Technopark Development,” moderated by Bakdaulet Yerkhanov from Informascope and with valuable contributions of the distinguished representatives: Aydyn Artykova, Deputy Director, Kazpatent; Lyazzat Myltykbaeva. Advisor to the Chairman of the Board, Science Fund; Chester Jablonski, Vice Provost for Research, Nazarbayev University; Gaukhar Almas, Head of Commercialization Office, Al-Farabi University; and Kirill Ivanov, Research Intelligence Customer Consultant for Turkey, Western & Central Asia, Elsevier.
