Aim & scope
The Elsevier Developments in Physical and Theoretical Chemistry book series serves as a home for high-quality research reference volumes focused on introducing key, growth topics in the realm of physical chemistry, chemical physics and more classical aspects of theoretical chemistry. Through the leadership of expert volume Editor candidates recruited by series editor Jim House and through the contributions of a range of specialists, these volumes provide essential background and an introductory overview of key topics, with surveys of the literature at a level useful to advanced students and researchers.
The volumes address the underlying theoretical and experimental background for those entering more specific and advanced areas of research focus and function as pivotal reference works of lasting value, which often include key applied case study examples. A primary goal for the volumes in the series is also to provide a strong educational, foundational thrust to encourage advanced study and better understanding.
