Scopus AI: Changing the Future of Research

Introduction

Many generative AI tools have been developed for academic research, providing researchers with powerful support and tools to enhance their research efficiency and achieve more impactful results in the academic realm.

Today's Scopus AI event promises to be an eagerly anticipated gathering! We will showcase innovative tools that leverage generative AI in conjunction with trusted content and data from Scopus, enabling researchers to access reliable information quickly and effortlessly. This event is not just a celebration of AI applications, but an exploration of knowledge!

The event will also unveil the future roadmap and strategic initiatives of Scopus AI, offering participants insight into the future trends of Scopus AI. Additionally, we are excited to collaborate with National ChengChi University for this event. The university librarian will share best practices on utilizing Scopus AI for advanced deployment to enhance the quality of academic services in the library. Furthermore, professors from National Taipei University of Technology and National ChengChi University will share their experiences and insights on effectively leveraging Scopus AI in research endeavors. This will be a gathering that converges wisdom and innovation, allowing us to explore the boundless potential of AI and collectively pioneer new frontiers in academic research!

Scopus AI enhances your understanding and enriches your insights at an unprecedented speed and clarity

Enabling researchers to:

Enabling librarian to:

*Obtain relevant results generated based on the latest, trustworthy knowledge, and save your valuable time with reliable and easy-to-understand research summaries generated in seconds. *Copilot optimizes responses to highly specific or complex queries and includes an intelligent language layer that can accept queries in non-English languages. *In addition to abstracts, Scopus AI also suggests to "Go deeper" by proposing questions to help you deepen your understanding and broaden your knowledge in the field. *Utilize keywords from research abstracts to generate concept maps for each query, helping you gain an overview of the topic space and understand your subject more comprehensively along with its relationships with other research areas. *Explore potential collaborators and author options to support research collaboration. *Use everyday language for queries; the upcoming RAG Fusion patent will enhance Scopus AI by producing comprehensive and insightful abstracts from trusted academic content.

*By using Scopus AI, help students become familiar with the correct use of the GenAI tool and teach them how to utilize reliable and peer-reviewed data sources. *Aid students in streamlining their paper or project topics, reducing search and reading time, and triggering more ideas. *Assist researchers in quickly exploring new or unfamiliar areas, enabling them to understand how research topics relate across different disciplinary fields. *According to a survey from the Association of Research Libraries (ARL), the rise of GenAI provides librarians with an opportunity to 'lead' and enhance the value and visibility of libraries.

Navigating Uncharted Territory with Scopus AI When conducting interdisciplinary research in the social sciences, one often needs to expand one's knowledge and reach out to unfamiliar areas. When setting research directions, one often has to re-read a large amount of literature and re-accumulate one's knowledge on a specific topic. This process is important but time-consuming, and traditional data searching methods are limited by the representativeness of the keywords, which may result in search results that are not comprehensive enough. Scopus AI provides the possibility to engage with a large amount of literature. This presentation will introduce how researchers can use Scopus AI to quickly gain a full picture of past research on an unfamiliar topic, in order to formulate the direction of their next research. Yuan Chih Fu Assoc. Professor Graduate Institute of Technical and Vocational Education National Taipei University of Technology(Taipei Tech)

15:15 | 15:40

Examining the Value of Scopus AI Features from an Interdisciplinary Research Perspective This experience-sharing session will primarily focus on the extent to which Scopus AI features assist in finding interdisciplinary research literature in environmental and resource economics. Huey-Lin Lee Assoc. Professor Department of Economics National Chengchi University
