Talk: Designing electrode materials for enzyme-based electrochemical biosensors

Dr. Seiya Tsujimura obtained PhD in Agriculture from Kyoto University, Japan, in 2007, where he served as an Assistant Professor until 2011. In 2011, he joined the University of Tsukuba, Japan, as an Associate Professor and established the Bioelectrochemistry Laboratory. In 2024, he was promoted to Professor. His prolific research career includes 137 peer-reviewed original research papers and 9 review articles, with a notable h-index of 44. His work focuses on the electrochemical reactions of redox enzymes, the development of electrode materials and redox mediators, and enzyme immobilization techniques for biosensors and biofuel cells. Recently, his research has shifted toward the development of wearable sensors and biofuel cells. In recognition of his contributions, Dr. Tsujimura received the prestigious Scientific Achievement Award from the Electrochemical Society of Japan in 2024.
