Dr. Shubhangi B. Umbarkar is a senior principal scientist and former head of the department at the Catalysis Division of National Chemical Laboratory, Pune. She did PhD from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai and carried out postdoctoral research at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany. She is working on different research topics including heterogeneous catalysts for valorization of renewables.
