Lead Product Manager for Scopus

I joined Elsevier in 2010 because I was eager to work for a publisher that helps global researchers disseminate high-quality research, and almost everyone in the publishing industry is familiar with Elsevier. I initially worked in the Journal Department for eight years, progressing from a Content Acquisition Specialist to a Publisher. I then transitioned to the Scopus content team as a Product Manager and am now serving as a Lead Product Manager.

Collaboration and seeking new ideas from domain experts are integral to all of the projects I have worked on at Elsevier, even in daily tasks. During my time in the Journal Department, I had the opportunity to collaborate with professional editors and colleagues. Later, on the Scopus content team, I could impact a broader audience by helping researchers from all disciplines make informed decisions based on curated content and data insights.

In my role within the content and policy team, I collaborate with the Content Selection and Advisory Board (CSAB), as well as local boards, to ensure Scopus includes representative, high-quality research content beneficial to the entire research community. Researchers and academic leaders rely on this content to decide where to publish their work, measure the impact of their research, and find potential collaborators. These steps are crucial in their careers and contribute efficiently to society.

Working with the CSAB on curated content and continually refining our content selection and review criteria to meet the needs of the research community reflects our commitment to ethical publishing practices and maintaining the highest standards of quality and reliability.

In my daily work, I deeply appreciate Elsevier’s cross-cultural environment, respect for everyone, and commitment to doing things the right way. Elsevier boasts a diverse group of domain experts, including data scientists, professional editors, and business professionals, who are always open to collaboration.

Elsevier is highly responsive to the needs of global researchers and takes swift action. I am confident in its strategy, which combines technology, data science, open science, and professional expertise to provide the best tools responsibly. I am excited to contribute to this vision and collaborate with other domain experts.

I have also volunteered with the company’s Connect to Communicate team for nearly 10 years, promoting communication strategies from small daily tips to empathetic communication. Additionally, I am a Mental Wellness First Aider, helping myself and hopefully others achieve a calm and peaceful life.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring natural landscapes and experiencing peaceful life during my travels. I always appreciate the fresh air, the break from hectic tasks, and the marvelous sights around the world.
