Dr. Promita Chatterji

Director of Journals, Elsevier

As the Director of Journals for Digital Commons, Promita leads vision, strategy, and roadmap for Digital Commons journals. She works closely with global academic communities to understand emerging trends, inform product innovation, and build visibility and impact for open-access publishing. At Digital Commons, she has led several initiatives on strategic topics including research data management, open educational resources, and the impact of open access. Promita holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from UC Berkeley and prior to joining Elsevier she taught literature and humanities at UC Berkeley and Columbia University.

Priyanka works as Software Solution Sales Manager at Elsevier. She brings with her 12+ years of experience liaising and working with research leaders across leading academic institutions and government organizations. She is passionate about providing innovative and technology-based solution to the academic world, driving higher research outcome. In her role she works closely with senior academic leaders, library communities and scholarly networks understanding the research need while aligning appropriate solution that best meets their desired outcome. She is based in Singapore and networks across APAC region driving the value of Elsevier’s Software Solution’s and repurposing the concepts around research administration, publishing, research & data management etc.
