Dr. Pham Hoan My, General Surgery Residency program, VinUniversity (Vietnam)

9 August 2022

Please briefly describe who are you and your institution.

I’m Pham Hoan My, a first-year resident doctor at VinUniversity and part of the General Surgery Residency Program. We are trained in public hospitals which allows us to gain experience in various clinical settings.

How do you use ClinicalKey in your day-to-day workflow?

The university gave me many opportunities to use modern facilities and resources during my training. One of the most useful solutions was Elsevier’s ClinicalKey. Whenever I prepare for a new surgery, I always log into the ClinicalKey decision tool to familiarise myself with the steps of the procedure. This helps with providing further insight and allowing me to learn more effectively.

What’s the primary reason that you would recommend ClinicalKey? OR If you had a colleague that was considering ClinicalKey, what would you tell them?

The ClinicalKey solution offers fast access to clinical research and resources via computer and mobile. Whenever I have to face a new patient with a new condition, I can easily access the guidelines from the algorithm to help me make the most accurate and beneficial decision for my patient.
