Step Forward: Dr Steven Birnbaum, Diagnostic Radiologist (USA)

Please briefly describe who you are and your role. 

I am Dr. Steven Birnbaum, a diagnostic radiologist of 41 years. I returned to an academic setting to practice for the last 5 years, where I focus on breast imaging and musculoskeletal imaging in an academic centre, as well as general radiology in a small community hospital.   

What problems were you attempting to solve when you started using STATdx? 

I began using STATdx about 4 years ago when I returned to academics, I realized I needed to practice at the highest levels of radiology as I often deal with complex cases and the teaching of residents.   

From your point of view, what are the biggest benefits you found in using STATdx in your day to day routine? 

STATdx allows me to find information in real time that is relevant to the problems I am dealing with quickly and accurately. STATdx provides me with updated information on these problems and allows me to incorporate this into my radiology reports and workstation teaching.  I find STATdx to be an indispensable tool in my day-to-day workflow.

To any and all colleagues, I recommend STATdx highly and without reservation.
