Post hoc analysis of a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial, “Inhaled Treprostinil Dosage in Pulmonary Hypertension Associated With Interstitial Lung Disease and Its Effects on Clinical Outcomesopens in new tab/window,” finds inhaled treprostinil at a dose of ≥9 breaths per session, four times daily, resulted in less clinical worsening and more clinical improvement. Looking at 7,369 actively smoking patients, “Factors Associated With Smoking Cessation Attempts in Lung Cancer Screeningopens in new tab/window” concludes pharmacologic treatment to aid in smoking cessation is effective and recommends it to be offered to all patients who smoke during lung cancer screening.
