Wei-Ning Xiang is a Professor of geography and earth sciences at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, USA. He received a BS degree in geography from Beijing Normal University, China; a master’s degree in regional planning from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, USA; and a doctorate in city and regional planning from the University of California at Berkeley, USA. He is the Co-Editor-in-Chief of Landscape and Urban Planning since 2011, and the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Springer Nature EcoWISE (Ecological Wisdom Inspired Science and Engineering) book series since 2016.
