Agi Brandt-Talbot is an independent Research Fellow in the Department of Chemistry at Imperial College London. Dr Brandt-Talbot received a BSc and an MSc from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, Germany.
She carried out her PhD research in the group of Tom Welton on ionic liquid pretreatment of lignocellulosic biomass. She continued as a postdoc in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College before starting her own research group. Agi also co-founded Lixea, a start-up that commercialises IL based wood waste fractionation. Her research interests are the use of ionic liquids for processing lignocellulosic biomass, plastics and fibre spinning and studying the stability and decomposition mechanisms of ionic liquids.
