Claudia Arango
Claudia leads a diverse team in the Office for Research responsible for data and systems management, analysis and reporting of research performance, informing policy and decision making as well as compliance. Claudia ensures the University leadership and researchers have guidance on research outputs, bibliometrics, benchmarking at individual, departmental or institutional level and research impact. Claudia managed the ARC Excellence in Research for Australia and Engagement and Impact submissions, effective drivers of Griffith’s trajectory to be recognised as a research intensive university. Claudia is a biologist specialised in marine biodiversity and evolution and was awarded a PhD in 2002 and post doc fellowships at the American Museum of Natural History and the Australian Museum among others.
