David Scherer is a Customer Consultant for Pure & Data Monitor in North America.

Previously, David was the Scholarly Communications and Research Curation Consultant with the University Libraries at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. David is an experienced academic librarian with expertise in scholarly communications, research information management, scholarly impact, research communication, open access, and copyright. I also have experience in developing digital content and facilitating open access to library resources. As an academic librarian that understands the complexity and dynamics of research-focused academic institutions, I understand the importance of building strong relationships to develop enterprise-level solutions to answer institutional-wide questions. Additional experience includes institutional data governance, B2B2C client relationships, strategic planning, grant review, marketing, user-centric outreach and training, and professional development training. My goal is to foster collaboration between users, administrators, leadership, and stakeholders that allows all to thrive in achieving shared objectives and extensive multi-layered solutions.
