Dr Emily McWhirter PhD, RN is a Consultant working in the Chief Nursing Office at the World Health Organization. She is leading a WHO campaign to deliver emergency care training and has established the WHO Global Community of Practice for Nursing and Midwifery.

Emily has been a Director of Nursing in the UK, Clinical Director of an Air Ambulance service and has a PhD in Nursing leadership. She has spent time at Harvard Business school studying health care delivery.
