Felismina is a recognised expert in the field of biosensors. She specialises in the development of electrical biosensors that use novel materials, particularly synthetic materials, to detect a variety of target analytes. She holds a PhD in Sustainable Chemistry from the Faculty of Science and Technology of the New University of Lisbon, which emphasises her commitment to promoting sustainable solutions in her field.
Felismina is the coordinator of the research (Group | Nuclei) CIETI/LabRISE- Laboratory for Research and Innovation in Sensors and Engineering, based at the School of Engineering of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. In this role, she leads a team of researchers dedicated to advancing the field of biosensors, driving innovation and pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
