She received her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from Tokyo Medical and Dental University. She had been engaging in systems biology and cell biology research at several universities in Japan and the United States. After working at Nara Institute of Science and Technology as an Assistant Professor (URA), she assumed her current position at Osaka University since February 2018. Here she has been challenging to enhance Osaka university's research capabilities through research development and institutional research by utilizing her academic background.
