Phillip Fitzsimmons works at the Al Harris Library, where he is the University Archivist and Special Collections Librarian at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) in Weatherford, Oklahoma. He is responsible for the General Thomas P. Stafford Archives, physical archive and is the administrator of the SWOSU Digital Commons https://dc.swosu.edu/ opens in new tab/window. He is particularly proud of the Stafford Collection https://dc.swosu.edu/stafford/ opens in new tab/window, from items donated by retired Astronaut Thomas P. Stafford. Phillip also manages the Mythopoeic Society’s (Mythsoc) physical and digital collections through the SWOSU archive facilities.

His research interests includes digital services for academic libraries with an emphasis on institutional repository administration, physical collections, and library reference services. He is a Steward for the Mythopoeic Society and is an official adviser to the Owen Barfield Literary Estate.
