Professor Raz Jelinek holds the Carole and Barry Kaye Chair in Applied Science at Ben Gurion University, Beer Sheva, Israel and is also the Vice President and Dean for Research & Development. He holds a PhD (Chemistry) from the University of California, Berkeley. Raz has authored more than 230 peer-reviewed scientific publications and wrote 4 textbooks. Prof. Jelinek is among the pioneers in applications of conjugated polydiacetylenes for sensing applications, in the emerging field of applications of carbon dots as a platform for varied physical and chemical applications, and for identifying physiological catalytic amyloids.
