Scott Newman, PhD

Scott Newman is a Customer Consultant for all chemistry solutions supporting the western half of the United States. His focus is getting on getting his clients to use our databases most efficiently and effectively to impact their drug discovery process.

He joined Elsevier in 2016 as a Customer Consultant, supporting all of the Life Science Solutions for academic, government and corporate accounts in the western US. Previously, we worked at Xenon Pharmaceuticals supporting biochemistry, screening, lead development and ADME/Tox across four therapeutics areas. Scott holds a PhD from the University of Washington in Botany and a BA degree in Zoology from Pomona College. He was awarded an NIH fellowship at Duke University in Durham NC and was a research associate at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas TX.
