About
University rankings play a critical role in shaping the higher education landscape in India. With over 43.3 million students enrolled in higher education within the country and approximately 0.75 million students going abroad for further studies, the importance of these rankings cannot be overstated.
A growing number of Indian universities are now participating in international university rankings. This trend is also reflected in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings, with 3 times increase in the number of participating institutions over five years.
This increasing participation in rankings is a positive sign, indicating that Indian universities are placing a high priority on improving their standings. High rankings can lead to numerous benefits, including enhanced reputation, increased student enrollment, better faculty recruitment, more substantial research funding, and greater opportunities for collaboration. By striving for higher rankings, Indian universities can better position themselves on the global stage, attract top talent, and secure vital resources for continued growth and development.
Elsevier, in collaboration with Shiv Nadar University, invites you to a one-day seminar on University Ranking. In this seminar, international speakers and leaders from Indian universities will share their expertise on strategies that institutions should consider achieving the best ranking outcomes. The focus of the seminar will be to equip delegates with ways to translate insights from various data tools into impactful ranking strategies.
