Carlos is the Solutions Engineer and Sales Consultant for Latin America and the Southeast of USA, specializing in research management and analytics tools such as Pure, Digital Commons, and Funding Institutional. He joined Elsevier in 2022 in the Research Intelligence division, focused on providing consulting to the research offices of universities and institutions. Born in Bogota, Colombia, Carlos is an electronic engineer from the University of Maryland and holds a specialization in Computer Applications. Carlos has more than 20 years of experience in technical sales consulting in the telecommunications and IT sectors, including the 11 years he worked at Valid as the Senior Regional Technical Manager for Latin America, prior to joining Elsevier.
