She holds a Master of Science in Library & Information Studies from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Science in Library and Information Technology from the University of Maine.​ Beyond her leadership at Baptist Health, Devica's influence extends far and wide. She is the author of several impactful publications and had posters accepted at both local and national conferences. Her work, ranging from pioneering online journal clubs to optimizing digital archives and producing the organization’s first open access, peer-reviewed journal.
