Stefan Gössling studied geography and biology at Münster University, Germany, and holds a PhD in human ecology from Lund University, Sweden. He is a professor at the School of Business and Economics, Linnaeus University, Sweden, as well as a research coordinator at the Western Norway Research Institute. His interests centered on transport governance, economics, and psychology; lately specifically in the context of transition barriers to transport system change.
