Ms. Tabitha Samuel, MLIS, is the Digital Archivist for the Waring Historical Library, the rare books and special collections library of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston. As Digital Archivist, she manages the Waring Historical Library Digital Collections and MUSC’s institutional repository, MEDICA@MUSC.
A native of Columbia, South Carolina, Ms. Samuel graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in history from Furman University and returned to Columbia to earn a Master of Library and Information Science degree and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina. In her spare time, she enjoys thrifting, going to concerts, and road trips.
