Prof. Ying Fan is a professor and the Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Beihang University, and the director of the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research(CEEP), a joint center of Beihang University, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and CNPC.
She is the Vice President for Academic affairs of the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE) since 2016. Before joining Beihang University, she had 25 years research experience in Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). She visited Cornell University in the U.S. as a visiting scholar from 2004 to 2005.
Her research and teaching fields include energy economics, Energy-Environment-Economy system modeling, Emission Trading, climate change, energy and environmental policy. She has carried out over 60 research projects, published over 280 papers in peer reviewed journals such as the Energy Journal, Energy Economics, European Journal of Operational Research, Environmental Modeling and Assessment, Energy Policy, Applied Energy, Environmental Modelling and Software, Journal of Policy Modeling, and so on.
