Zhiming Ao

Dr. Zhimin Ao is currently a Distinguished Professor in School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT), China. He received his Bachelor and PhD degrees from Jilin University, China, in 2003 and 2008, respectively.

After several Postdoctoral and Research Fellow positions in University of Antwerp, the University of New South Wales, and University of Technology Sydney, he joined GDUT in 2016 under the support of “Overseas Top Talents Recruitment Programme” of China. His research interests mainly focus on environmental catalysts and corresponding catalytic mechanism. Prof. Ao has published more than 150 SCI papers with ~7500 citations and H = 43. He also received several prestigious honours and awards, such as Fellow of the International Association of Advanced Materials in 2021, “Chinese Chemical Letters” Environmental Chemistry Young Scientists award in 2019, and Distinguished Young Scientist of Scientific Chinese Magazine of Year 2017.
