Title: Mechanosensing in Vascular Homeostasis and Remodeling: Role of the Tyrosine Kinase Receptors
Peking University, China
Jing Zhou is a professor at Peking University, specializing in how cells sense and respond to mechanical forces in vascular health and disease. She earned her B.S. (2001) and Ph.D. (2006) from Chongqing University, followed by postdoctoral training at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, National Health Research Institutes (Taiwan), and the University of California, San Diego. She joined Peking University Health Science Center as a faculty member in 2014. Her research focuses on mechanosensory receptors, vascular mechanobiology, and atherosclerosis, bridging fundamental mechanisms with therapeutic strategies. Her work has been published in PNAS, Circulation Research, Nature Communications, and other leading journals. She has received funding from the National Science Fundation of China for Distinguished and Excellent Young Scholars and other major grants.
