Ludmilla Boinovich

Talk: Colloid mechanisms of polyfunctional activity of superhydrophobic coatings

The research activities of Ludmila Boinovich, both theoretical and experimental, have been centered on molecular physics and the physical chemistry of surface phenomena. She received a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry at the IPCE RAS in 1987, and Dr. of Sciences in Physics and Mathematics in 2004. In 2016 L. Boinovich was elected a full Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 2009, she assumed the post of Head of Scientific and Educational Center on Colloid Chemistry and Surface Phenomena. Currently, the research activities of Ludmila Boinovich focus on surface phenomena, surface forces, wetting, the design of functional coatings, and the development of the fundamentals of protection against atmospheric icing, corrosion, and bio-contamination.
