Tyler Gerczak

Dr. Gerczak is a Senior Research and Development Staff and the Particle Fuel Forms Group Leader at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). His work heavily supports the Advanced Gas Reactor Fuel Development and Qualification (AGR) Program, where he has recently assumed the role of ORNL AGR Program Manager. The AGR Program aims to demonstrate the production of high quality tristructural isotropic (TRISO) fuel and provide fuel qualification basis data to advanced readiness of TRISO reactor concepts. Dr. Gerczak also led fuel development activities for research efforts supporting the DOE/NASA Space Nuclear Propulsion Program and served as a lead for industry engagements developing TRISO fuel for commercial purposes.
