Angel Calderon
Angel has worked in institutional research and planning over the past 30 years in several Australian universities. He has also worked as a journalist and foreign correspondent in several countries. Over the past seven years, Angel has directed RMIT’s top level performance measurement program aligned to the strategy as well as managed the University’s global rankings uplift. Angel works closely with the senior executive to advance the University’s societal impact, reputation and long-term sustainability. He is a regular speaker in international forums on global megatrends, global rankings, higher education competitiveness, internationalization, strategy, and development. He is co-editor of a book on institutional research and planning in higher education. He has also co-authored another two volumes on higher education, authored several reports, journal articles and book chapters on geopolitics of higher education, global rankings, sustainable development, and strategic planning.
