Barbara Koroušić Seljak is a senior researcher at the Jožef Stefan Institute, specializing in computer science within the Computer Systems Department. Her research focuses on evolutionary computation, artificial intelligence, and eHealth system development, with a particular emphasis on food and nutrition science. In addition to her research role, she is a professor at the Jožef Stefan International Postgraduate School and the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ljubljana.
She actively contributes to several international initiatives, serving as the Head of the Slovenian Node for ELIXIR and participating in METROFOOD and EuroFIR, where she was a member of the Executive Board. Driven by a passion for innovation, her primary goal is to develop advanced computational solutions that address challenges in the food and nutrition domain, ultimately providing citizens with effective digital tools to improve dietary health.
