Dr. Chidambaram Mandan is a seasoned chemical scientist and industry leader with over two decades of experience in catalysis, renewable energy, and biofuels. He holds a Ph.D. from the National Chemical Laboratory (CSIR-NCL) and has conducted postdoctoral research at prestigious institutions including The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the University of California, Berkeley.

Dr. Mandan has a proven track record of leading the innovation and commercialization of new technologies. His groundbreaking work on Cat-HTL technology has earned him recognition, including the Game Changer Award and Golden Peacock Award. He has also developed and commercialized over 65 precious metal-based catalysts for various chemical and pharmaceutical industries during his tenure at Hindustan Platinum.

Currently, Dr. Mandan serves as Vice President & Head of R&D and Quality Control at LOHUM Cleantech Pvt. Ltd., where he is focused on advancing battery materials through recycling and repurposing. His expertise extends beyond research, as evidenced by his 26 international peer reviewed publications, 47 patent applications, and numerous invited lectures at conferences worldwide. His patent in mercury removal from flue gas Vice President & Head R&D and Quality Control LOHUM has been commercialized in Israel and he is one of the royalty receivers for his contribution.

Dr. Mandan's contributions to the scientific community have been widely celebrated. He is an invited member of the DST Energy Related Project Review & Granting Committee and a member of the Board of Studies at NIT Bhopal. He is also a life member of several professional societies, including the Catalysis Society of India, Materials Research Society of India, Israel Chemical Society, American Chemical Society, and American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. Mandan enjoys reading science fiction and cultural novels, playing badminton, and following politics.
