Dale Seaton works in the Elsevier New York office in the USA. Following completion of a BSc degree in Zoology and a PhD in Veterinary Parasitology, both at the University of Edinburgh, UK, Dale undertook 6 years of post-doctoral research in Australia before he began his career in Scientific and Medical Publishing. He has worked as Publisher in Elsevier for over 20 years overseeing journal portfolios in Parasitology, Insect Science, Zoology, Theoretical Biology and other disciplines. He works closely in partnership with many Academic Societies, has launched many new successful journals and hosted a number of successful international scientific conferences, in areas including Molecular Insect Biology and Molecular Helminthology.
