Dr. Safirotu Khoir is currently working at Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, serving two positions as a coordinator of Public Relations and International Affairs at Library and Archives and a senior lecturer at the Graduate School of Library and Information Management. With the support of Australia Awards Scholarship, she obtained her doctoral degree from the University of South Australia and her master degree from Curtin University of Technology, Australia.
Safirotu is the coordinator of Commission 3 Forum Perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi Indonesia (Indonesia Academic Library Forum) managing the International Affairs. Safirotu' research interests are in information behaviour, immigrants, academic and public libraries, community development and informatics. She has published papers in highly reputable conferences and journals including Information Research, Library & Information Science Research, Community Development, and Journal of Australian and Library Information Association. Safirotu obtained a prestigeous research grants (PAIR) from the Australia Indoensia Centre in 2020 to explore COVID data in Indonesia.
