Jinwei Gao is currently a professor of Academy of Advanced Optoelectronics at South China Normal University. Professor Gao’s research interests center on flexible energy conversion materials and devices, especially in transparent conductors, solar cells, supercapacitors, water splitting and solar thermal conversion.

Professor Gao has published more than 150 archival articles, 3 book chapters, and delivered more over 80 invited talks, and served as a committee member for academic conferences organized by MRS, ACP, PIERS et. al. He has been pointed as the editor of Surfaces and Interfaces from October of 2019.
