Conference chairs

Julia Gamston RN. MSc Advanced Practice, PG Cert Clin Ed , is a Consultant Nurse in the Emergency Directorate at Imperial College Healthcare Trust London.

She provides clinical expertise and leadership to a developing workforce of multi-professional emergency practitioners and facilitates their development along the advanced practice pathway. Julia is faculty co-chair of a regional collaborative program to develop emergency nurses facilitated by the Capital Nurse program and Kings College University. She is a NMC registered teacher and a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Julia has a particular interest in patient safety and is the nursing representative on the Safer Care Committee of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine and co-editor of the Handbook of Emergency nursing.
