Naaborle Sackeyfio is an Assistant Professor of Global and Intercultural Studies at Miami University of Ohio. Her scholarship encompasses energy and resource politics, political economy and gender and sustainable development in Sub-Saharan Africa.
She is the author of Energy Politics and Rural Development: The Case of Ghana (Palgrave, 2018). Her publications appear in journals such as New Political Science and African Affairs. In 2020, she was a Senior Fellow at the Merian Institute for Advanced Studies in Africa, University of Ghana-Legon. The interdisciplinary fellowship focused on sustainable energy transitions in the Global South and was funded by the German Ministry of Education. She is a Co-Investigator on a NASA grant (2020-2023) which examines the impact of urban expansion on peri-urban agriculture, hydrometeorology, food security and human health in West and East Africa. This work extends her research agenda and interdisciplinary work to examine political ecology issues.
