Nicholas Gathergood

Invited lecture: Ubiquitous green chemistry: from solvents to chemical weapons

Nicholas Gathergood graduated from the University of Southampton with a PhD in organometallic catalyzed reactions. His post-doctoral posts with Prof. Karl Anker Jørgensen and Prof. Peter Scammells fostered interest in green chemistry. As a lecturer in Dublin City University and the ERA Chair of Green Chemistry at Tallinn University of Technology he has collaborated with many international groups promoting green chemistry principles. His current position is Associate Professor at the University of Lincoln, UK with interests in biodegradation, green toxicology and ionic liquids.
