Prof. Duan has been undertaken cleaner production （CP）since 1992. He is one of the a few earliest pioneers who made important contributions to China’s CP. He participated in preparation of  China’s  “Law of Promoting CP” and its amendment. The Real Time Monitoring Tech. and Pan-ions Network Tech. developed by his group are recognised as key and common CP technologies by more and more companies.
