Shinsuke Kito, M.D., Ph.D., a psychiatrist, is a Professor of Department of Psychiatry, Jikei University School of Medicine. He graduated from Iwate Medical University where he received an M.D. in 1999, and obtained a Ph.D. from Kyorin University School of Medicine in 2007. He became an Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Jikei University School of Medicine in 2017. He served as a Director of Psychiatry and also a Director of Neuromodulation Therapy and Research Center at National Center Hospital, National Center of Neurology and Psychiatry (NCNP) in Japan from 2020 to 2024. His research has primarily been focused on neuromodulation therapy such as repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), theta burst stimulation (TBS), and magnetic seizure therapy (MST).
