Thomas Gurney

Thomas is Group Product Manager for Data Models in Pure, and has extensive experience within Elsevier, and other companies, in R&D analytics platforms.

Thomas holds a PhD from VU Amsterdam in knowledge transfer and dynamics, a MSc in Science and Technology Studies from the University of Amsterdam and BScs in Chemistry, and Oceanography & Climatology from the University of Cape Town. He has published on effective R&D practice and processes, knowledge transfer, absorptive capacity, scientometrics, bibliometrics, alt-metrics, science parks, large-scale research infrastructures and academic entrepreneurship.
