Dr. Chuanbing Tang is University Eminent Professor at the University of South Carolina, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. He received B.S. from Nanjing University, M.S. and Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University under the supervision of Prof. Krzysztof Matyjaszewski and Prof. Tomasz Kowalewski, and conducted postdoctoral research work at the University of California Santa Barbara under Prof. Craig Hawker and the late Prof. Edward Kramer.
He is a Fellow of AAAS, AIMBE, RSC, and ACS Polymer Division. His research interests focus on organic polymer synthesis, sustainable polymers, metal-containing polymers, and polymers for biomedical and energy applications.
