Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Ali is currently working as an associate professor and director of renewable energy laboratory at Mechanical Engineering Department of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia. He holds a doctoral degree in mechanical engineering from School of Engineering and Materials Science, Queen Mary University of London, UK. Dr. Ali was a postdoc at Water and Energy Laboratory of University of California at Merced, United States.

Dr. Ali worked extensively in the area of thermal engineering and was a director of Thermal and Clean Energy Research laboratory, Renewable Energy Research and Development Centre, Heat & Mass Transfer and Refrigeration laboratory at University of Engineering and Technology Taxila, Pakistan. He has published more than 300 articles, various books and book chapters. He has actively participated to deliver keynote and invited talks at various international conferences.

Dr. Ali is a recipient of various international awards notably Highly cited researcher award by Clarivate. He is an editorial board member at several international journals, notably Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, Applied Nanoscience, Energy Resources: Part A, Heat Transfer, Journal Thermal Science, and Journal of Mechanical Engineering.
