Kazuto Arakawa is a Vice Director and Professor of Next Generation Tatara Co-Creation Centre (NEXTA), Shimane University, Japan, and a Visiting Professor of Research Centre for Ultra-High Voltage Electron Microscopy, Osaka University, Japan. He has been studied dynamics of radiation-produced defects in metals and alloys, using in-situ transmission electron microscopy. Recently, he is also examining elementary processes of hydrogen embrittlement in steel and deformation process of iron-based amorphous alloys and heat-resistant alloys, etc.
