Fu Liu is a full professor at Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering (Nimte), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He received his Ph.D. degree in polymer chemistry and physics from Zhejiang University in 2007, he moved to Imperial College, London as a postdoctoral research associate (2018-2010). He then moved back to Nimte, CAS as an associate professor and got a promotion as a full professor in 2015.
His research interests focus on the preparation and application of classic polymeric membranes and novel COF/MOF membranes for water remediation, seawater desalination, resources reclamation, advanced oxidation, oil/water separation and hemodialysis etc. He has published more than 150 peer-reviewed papers in Adv. Mater., Journal of Membrane Science etc. He received over 10000 citations. His H-index is 47.
