Talk Title: Unraveling Human Exposure to Enteric Pathogens and Disease Risk in Sub-Saharan Africa: A One Health Approach
Dr. Song Liang is the Professor and Chair the Department of Environmental Health Sciences, School of Public Health and Health Science, University of Massachusetts Amherst. Prior to that, he was a faculty member at the University of Florida’s Department of Environmental and Global Health, Emerging Pathogens Institute, and Florida Climate Institute. His research areas lie in the intersections of environmental epidemiology, ecology, and transmission modeling of water and vector-borne diseases, as well as the impacts of climate change on health, through a One Health perspective. His work has received support from various federal and international agencies. Dr. Liang serves as an Associate Editor for PLoS Neglected Tropical Disease and Infectious Diseases of Poverty. He also contributes to the World Health Organization as a member of the Advisory Group on Soil Transmitted Helminthiasis and Schistosomiasis Control and Elimination.
