Advances in Applied Mechanics

Aim & scope

Advances in Applied Mechanics draws together recent significant advances in all areas of applied mechanics. Published since 1948, it aims to provide the highest quality, authoritative review articles and technical reports on topics in the mechanical sciences.

It is of primary interest to scientists and engineers working in the various branches of mechanics and is also valuable to those who apply the results of investigations in mechanics to areas such as aerospace, chemical, civil, environmental, mechanical, and bio-medical engineering.

Volume Formats

Advances in Applied Mechanics includes the Letters volume format, in addition to the classical format of Field Reviews.

Letters include full technical reports and short communication letters on recent, significant advances.

Field Reviews offer Comprehensive Reviews, which are high-quality, authoritative review articles on broad topics in mechanics.

Editors

Stéphane P.A. Bordas serves as the Editor-in-Chief. He is a Professor of Computational Mechanics at the University of Luxembourg, Head, Computational and Data Sciences, ERC Starting Grant Research Group Leader (RealTCut).

Stephan Rudykh serves as the Editor for the Letters volume format. He is an ERC Fellow and Associate Professor in the College of Science & Engineering at the University of Galway.
