Jun Ma is the Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Professor of Harbin Institute of Technology. Engaged in research and teaching activities related to urban water systems. He is the recipient of China Young Scientist Award, and the recipient of Achievement Award of the national high-level talent. He also received two National Inventory Awards from the Chinese Government. He is the recipient of "Sustainable Water Award" of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He is the recipient of Honor Award for Scientific Excellence by the American Chemical Society. He holds 170 Chinese Invention patents and 6 US patents. He has published over 640 peer reviewed international journal papers.
