The gallbladder is supplied by the cystic artery, a branch of the right hepatic artery. The extrahepatic bile ducts are supplied by several sources. The common bile duct and the hepatic ducts receive arterial blood from the right hepatic artery, which is reinforced by the cystic artery. The distal end of the bile duct supplied by the posterior superior pancreaticoduodenal, retroduodenal, and retroportal arteries.
